Calling all hunters! A new MONSTER HUNTER RISE Tetris 99 event awaits
Ready to thrash? We can see it in your eyes. The 25th MAXIMUS CUP might be the monstrous occasion you've been waiting for.
With the Tetris 99 game on the Nintendo Switch™ system, you’ve got the chance to conquer a fearsome challenge and bring back the spoils of battle – an in-game theme based on the MONSTER HUNTER RISE™ game! To prevail, you’ll need to react quickly and flip those Tetriminos across the screen faster than a Wirebug zips across Kamura Village.
The Tetris 99 25th MAXIMUS CUP event runs from 12 a.m. PT on Oct. 8 to 11:59 p.m. PT on Oct. 11. To participate, Nintendo Switch Online members* just need to play the Tetris 99 online mode during the event period. Players will earn event points based on their placement in each match. Once players have accumulated a total of 100 event points, a new theme will unlock, featuring background art, music and Tetrimino designs inspired by MONSTER HUNTER RISE.
For many Tetris 99 players, you’ve returned to the field of battle many times, with notches on your belt from several of your previous skirmishes. For others, perhaps you’re considering joining your first hunt for glory. On this joyful occasion of the 25th MAXIMUS CUP, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank our contestants both old and new for making Tetris 99 the thrilling experience it is today.
